Alyssa Godlewski is a senior at Jacksonville University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology with a minor in Biology. Originally from Milford, New Hampshire, Alyssa is passionate about marine science, veterinary medicine, and environmental conservation. Her academic coursework includes Marine Biology, Oceanography, Chemistry, and Statistical Methods in Science, providing a strong foundation for her career aspirations.
Professionally, Alyssa serves as a Veterinary Technician Assistant at Milford Veterinary Hospital, where she facilitates blood draws, assists with post-surgical care, and ensures a clean and safe environment for patients. She also works as an Instructor Assistant at Board and Brush Creative Studios, guiding customers through creative woodworking projects and promoting safety in the workplace. At Jacksonville University, Alyssa contributes as a Student Engagement and Leadership Assistant, helping to design and promote campus-wide events to enhance student connection and engagement.
Alyssa’s hands-on research experience includes participation in the Seacoast Science Center Fellowship Program, where she gained expertise in marine mammal rescue, coral restoration, and climate change studies. She is certified as an Open Water Diver and holds a Safe Boating Certification, further supporting her commitment to marine science and conservation.
Her leadership roles include serving as a Peer Leader for freshmen at Jacksonville University and as a Senator in the Marine Science Research Institute for the Student Government Association.
