Evan Sharp is a Junior Mechanical Engineering Major at Jacksonville University, originally from Houston, Texas. He is set to graduate in the spring of 2026, where on top of his ME degree, he will also receive minors in computing science and applied mathematics. In addition to being the SGA commuter senator, he is also a member of the men's lacrosse team, the president and co-founder of the JU STEM Research Association, and a member of both the Green Key Honor Society and the 2024-2025 DCOBT Top 25. Off campus, Evan has been published in the Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics, for his research in fighter jet stealth technology. Outside of his academic pursuits, Evan enjoys running, learning, and is a frequent reader. This spring and summer, Evan hopes to receive an internship in the mechanical engineering field. After his graduation in 2026, Evan plans to attend graduate school to obtain a master's in engineering with a focus in mechatronics, so that he may one day start his own defense company.
