Jason Furey is a sophmore Exercise Science major at Jacksonville University, where he is pursuing his passion for health, fitness, and service. A dedicated and hardworking individual, Jason brings with him a wealth of experience from his time in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and professional roles in logistics and operations.
As a Corporal in the Marine Corps Reserve, Jason served as a Radio Operator from 2021 to 2023, where he programmed and operated communication systems to ensure seamless coordination between units and stations. His responsibilities required precision, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain critical equipment. His leadership and technical expertise were key to his success in this role.
Jason also worked as an Overnight Stocker for Walmart, where he supported nightly operations to prepare the store for daily procedures. His skills in load sorting, quality control, and equipment troubleshooting reflect his ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in demanding environments.
With a strong work ethic and a range of technical and organizational skills, Jason is excited to apply his experiences to his academic journey at Jacksonville University. As he builds on his foundation in Exercise Science, Jason looks forward to further developing his skills and contributing meaningfully to his field and community.
