T’myia Scott is a junior at Jacksonville University, where she is pursuing dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and English, along with a minor in Psychology and a Pre-Health certification. Her career aspiration is to become a military physician, using her bilingual skills to care for patients during medical crises.
As a certified Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), T’myia has volunteered with the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department since 2019, gaining hands-on experience in emergency medicine and patient care. She has also contributed to healthcare through roles such as Candy Striper at Children’s National Medical Center and MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital. Her certifications in CPR/AED and emergency medical services highlight her preparedness and dedication to the field.
In addition to her medical background, T’myia demonstrates exceptional leadership and service. She serves as President of both the Rho Omega Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Phi Sigma Iota (Foreign Language Society). She is also Vice President of Le Cercle Francophone, reflecting her commitment to cultural and academic enrichment. Her accolades include membership in Sigma Tau Delta, Order of Omega, and the Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship Cohort.
T’myia balances her academic and leadership roles with professional experiences, including teaching assistance at Wilma’s Little People School and lifeguarding at Jacksonville University. Her passion for service and leadership extends to her work with Maryland Leadership Workshops, where she has staffed programs since 2020.
